Specialized Care vs Primary Care
Balance Point Hormone Health provides specialized medical services focused on hormone optimization, Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), medically supervised weight management, GLP 1 therapies, and peptide protocols when clinically appropriate. We do not act as your primary care provider.
We strongly advise all patients to maintain an ongoing relationship with a local primary care physician for routine wellness exams, preventive care, acute illness, chronic disease management, cancer screenings, vaccinations, referrals, and general health needs.
Florida Telehealth Service Area
Balance Point Hormone Health is a Florida based telehealth practice and currently provides services only to patients who are physically located in Florida and eligible for care under applicable Florida laws and professional licensing rules. Treatment availability may change based on clinical judgment, pharmacy availability, regulatory guidance, and state or federal requirements.
Risks of Treatment and Individual Results
All medical treatments carry potential risks, side effects, contraindications, and limitations. Individual results vary, and Balance Point Hormone Health does not guarantee specific health outcomes, symptom improvement, weight loss numbers, body composition changes, lab values, medication tolerance, or treatment eligibility.
- TRT and HRT: Hormone therapies may carry risks including, but not limited to, changes in cardiovascular health, blood counts, fertility, prostate related markers, breast related concerns, fluid retention, acne, mood changes, hair changes, sleep concerns, and medication interactions.
- GLP 1 therapies: Weight optimization medications can cause gastrointestinal symptoms and may carry warnings or precautions related to pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, thyroid tumor risk in certain patients, dehydration, medication interactions, and other medical considerations your provider will review when appropriate.
- Peptide protocols: Peptides may have limited long term human outcome data depending on the compound and use. Peptide availability and appropriateness are determined by provider judgment, patient history, current regulations, and pharmacy availability.
Compounded Medications and Off Label Use
Many of our protocols may use customized medications prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies. Compounding pharmacies are regulated, but compounded medications are not individually FDA approved in the same way as commercially manufactured medications. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed.
Certain medications, hormones, peptides, or dosing strategies may be prescribed off label when your provider determines that use is clinically appropriate for your specific medical history, lab findings, symptoms, and goals. Off label prescribing is common in medical practice, but it still carries risks and requires individualized medical judgment.
Telehealth Limitations and Patient Honesty
Because we evaluate and treat patients remotely, our medical team relies on the accuracy of the health history, medication list, allergies, symptoms, lab results, vital signs, side effect reports, and lifestyle information you provide. Falsifying, altering, withholding, or omitting medical information can lead to serious and dangerous health consequences.
You agree to provide truthful and complete disclosures during intake, follow up requests, portal messages, lab review, and video consultations. You also agree to promptly report new diagnoses, new medications, pregnancy, planned pregnancy, surgeries, hospitalizations, side effects, or changes in health status.
Eligibility and Scope of Practice
Completing labs, requesting a medication, or participating in a consultation does not guarantee eligibility for treatment. All treatment decisions are made by a licensed provider after reviewing your history, symptoms, labs, risk factors, and clinical appropriateness.
Balance Point Hormone Health specializes in male Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) and female Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for age related or physiological hormone concerns. We do not provide gender affirming care, transition related hormone therapy, or medical treatment for gender dysphoria because those services fall outside our current clinical scope of practice.
Program Billing and Service Structure
Our monthly protocol fees and service packages are comprehensive bundled charges. Depending on the program, payment may cover medical supervision, provider consultations, ongoing care, prescription management, coordination with pharmacies, shipping, supplies, required follow up labs after startup, and the cost of prescribed compounded medications when included in that specific program.
You are paying for enrollment in a medically supervised program, not simply purchasing retail pharmaceuticals. Program fees, lab fees, booking fees, pharmacy rates, refill timing, medication availability, and shipping practices may change over time. We do not accept insurance, and patients are responsible for all self pay costs.
Lab Compliance and Ongoing Monitoring
Ongoing treatment is contingent on completing required diagnostic blood work and follow up monitoring on the schedule required by your provider. Failure to complete required fasted labs, upload requested outside labs, attend required visits, or respond to safety related messages may result in a pause, delay, dose change, or cancellation of medication protocols to protect patient safety.
Secure Portal, Messaging, and Communication
Official patient communication, medical instructions, treatment changes, and sensitive health information should occur through the secure patient portal unless our team instructs otherwise. Social media, WhatsApp, email, and social media and WhatsApp are useful for general inquiries, but they should not be used for urgent medical concerns or detailed protected health information unless specifically directed by our team.
