Specialized Care vs Primary Care
Balance Point Hormone Health provides specialized services focused on Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) for men. We do not act as your primary care provider.
We strongly advise all patients to maintain an ongoing relationship with a local primary care physician for routine wellness exams, preventive care, acute illness, chronic disease management, cancer screenings, vaccinations, referrals, and general health needs.
Conditions and services outside our TRT scope are referred back to the patient's primary care provider or an appropriate specialist. Balance Point Hormone Health does not diagnose, prescribe, or manage unrelated medical conditions as part of its TRT program.
Medical Necessity and Prescribing Standards
Balance Point Hormone Health is not a prescription only or request based practice. Paying a fee, completing an intake, requesting a medication, or having a prior testosterone prescription does not guarantee treatment. Testosterone is prescribed only when the treating provider determines that the patient meets the clinical criteria for care based on symptoms, medical history, appropriate laboratory findings, risk assessment, contraindications, and professional judgment.
The provider may decline treatment, request additional information or testing, recommend a different level of care, or discontinue treatment when TRT is not medically appropriate or required monitoring is not completed.
Laboratory and Pharmacy Partners
When Balance Point Hormone Health arranges laboratory testing, orders are coordinated through Fullscript and blood draws are completed through Quest Diagnostics. Qualifying recent outside laboratory results may still be reviewed when they include all required markers and meet the provider's timing and clinical requirements.
When medication is prescribed, prescriptions are sent only to dispensing pharmacies vetted by Balance Point Hormone Health. We do not call in or transfer prescriptions to pharmacies outside our approved pharmacy network. Pharmacy selection may depend on the prescription, formulation, availability, applicable requirements, and provider judgment.
Florida Telehealth Service Area
Balance Point Hormone Health is a Florida based telehealth practice and currently provides services only to patients who are physically located in Florida and eligible for care under applicable Florida laws and professional licensing rules. Treatment availability may change based on clinical judgment, pharmacy availability, regulatory guidance, and state or federal requirements.
Risks of Treatment and Individual Results
All medical treatments carry potential risks, side effects, contraindications, and limitations. Individual results vary, and Balance Point Hormone Health does not guarantee specific health outcomes, symptom improvement, body composition changes, lab values, medication tolerance, or treatment eligibility.
- TRT: Testosterone therapy may carry risks including, but not limited to, changes in cardiovascular health, blood counts, fertility, prostate related markers, fluid retention, acne, mood changes, hair changes, sleep concerns, and medication interactions.
Compounded Medications and Off Label Use
Some prescriptions may be prepared by an appropriately licensed compounding pharmacy for an identified patient when the provider determines that a compounded preparation is clinically appropriate and applicable legal requirements are met. Compounded drugs are not FDA approved. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are marketed, and a compounded drug is not an FDA approved generic drug.
Balance Point Hormone Health does not represent that a compounded medication is identical, equivalent, safer, more effective, or superior to an FDA approved product. Compounded drugs may present additional risks, including variation in concentration, dosing, storage, handling, or product quality. FDA advises that compounded drugs should be used only when a patient's medical needs cannot be met by an available FDA approved drug.
Certain FDA approved medications, hormones, or dosing strategies may be prescribed for an unapproved use when the provider determines that use is medically appropriate. For an off label use, FDA has not determined that the drug is safe and effective for that particular use. The provider will consider available evidence, alternatives, potential benefits, and risks as part of individualized medical judgment and informed discussion.
Read FDA information about compounded drugs and FDA information about off label use.
Telehealth Limitations and Patient Honesty
Because we evaluate and treat patients remotely, our medical team relies on the accuracy of the health history, medication list, allergies, symptoms, lab results, vital signs, side effect reports, and lifestyle information you provide. Falsifying, altering, withholding, or omitting medical information can lead to serious and dangerous health consequences.
You agree to provide truthful and complete disclosures during intake, follow up forms, portal messages, lab review, and video consultations. You also agree to promptly report new diagnoses, new medications, pregnancy, planned pregnancy, surgeries, hospitalizations, side effects, or changes in health status.
Eligibility and Scope of Practice
Submitting the waiting list form, completing an intake, completing labs, or requesting a medication does not guarantee an appointment, eligibility, or treatment. All treatment decisions are made by a licensed provider after reviewing your history, symptoms, labs, risk factors, and clinical appropriateness.
Balance Point Hormone Health specializes in Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) for men. Services are limited to the treatments described on this website and care determined clinically appropriate by the provider.
Fees and Patient Responsibility
The $50 provider visit fee for men's TRT is collected at booking and is nonrefundable because it covers professional provider time and evaluation. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, patients are responsible for laboratory, pharmacy, medication, supply, and shipping charges associated with their care. Any laboratory cost discussed before ordering is an estimate only and may change based on required testing and third party charges.
We do not accept, bill, or coordinate benefits with insurance companies. Patients are responsible for understanding and paying applicable self pay charges before services or products are ordered.
TRT program prices are bundled service package fees that may include the services, support, supplies, shipping, and medication specifically described for that package. Package payment does not purchase a prescription or guarantee continued treatment. Clinical eligibility and prescribing decisions remain solely with the treating provider.
Lab Compliance and Ongoing Monitoring
Ongoing treatment is contingent on completing required diagnostic blood work and follow up monitoring on the schedule required by your provider. Failure to complete required fasted labs, upload requested outside labs, attend required visits, or respond to safety related messages may result in a pause, delay, dose change, or cancellation of medication protocols to protect patient safety.
Secure Portal, Messaging, and Communication
Official patient communication, medical instructions, treatment changes, and sensitive health information should occur through the secure patient portal unless our team instructs otherwise. Social media, WhatsApp, email, and website forms are useful for general inquiries, but they should not be used for urgent medical concerns or detailed protected health information unless specifically directed by our team.
