Frequently Asked Questions
TRT, women's HRT, medically supervised weight loss, and peptide add-on FAQ
What is the service area?
We operate exclusively via telehealth for residents of Florida. This focused approach helps us maintain compliance and high quality care within our jurisdiction.
Do you accept insurance?
No. We operate as a cash pay practice. This allows care to be guided by symptoms, lab trends, provider judgment, and patient goals rather than insurance thresholds or billing rules.
How is my privacy and safety handled?
We use secure patient portal workflows for intake, communication, and ongoing support. Safety is monitored by qualified medical professionals with appropriate labs, medical history review, and follow up based on the treatment plan.
Do you provide gender affirming hormone therapy?
No. Balance Point Hormone Health specializes in men's Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) and women's Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for age related and physiological hormone concerns, including low testosterone, menopause, and perimenopause. We do not provide gender affirming care, transition related hormone therapy, or medical treatment for gender dysphoria. Individuals seeking gender affirming hormone care are encouraged to consult with an endocrinology specialist or clinician who focuses on transition related medicine.
Which pharmacy do you use?
Balance Point Hormone Health currently uses trusted compounding pharmacies such as ReviveRx, Empower, and Belmar. Pharmacy selection may depend on medication availability, formulation, state and federal requirements, provider judgment, and patient specific needs. We select pharmacy partners for licensed operations, documented quality controls, and USP standards where applicable.
What does the hormone provider visit cover, and when is it charged?
For men's TRT and women's HRT, the $50 provider visit fee is collected at booking and is nonrefundable. It covers provider evaluation, lab interpretation, eligibility review, and treatment planning. The required startup lab panel is a separate $100 cost when qualifying recent labs are not available.
What is included in TRT pricing?
The TRT program includes prescribed testosterone, syringes, alcohol pads, related medical supplies, required lab monitoring after startup, and continuous provider support. The provider visit is $50 at booking, startup labs are an Estimated $110 when needed, then the monthly protocol is $125 after approval.
When does the monthly TRT protocol begin?
If your provider prescribes treatment, your first $125 monthly protocol payment triggers your first medication and supplies order. TRT is a monthly program, but it is not a long term contract.
I'm already on TRT. Do I need to redo my labs?
Not necessarily. If you are switching providers and have qualifying labs completed within 6 months of your appointment date and they include all required markers, the Estimated $110 startup lab cost may be reduced or removed. The $50 provider visit fee is still collected at booking and is nonrefundable. If required markers are missing, additional labs must be completed separately and are not credited.
What happens if I am not a candidate for TRT?
Your provider will review your medical history and labs, explain why TRT may not be appropriate, and advise you on recommended next steps. The $50 provider visit fee is not refundable because it covers professional provider time, lab interpretation, and eligibility review. If we do not need to order startup labs, the separate lab cost may be reduced or removed.
What is the timeline for TRT results?
Many patients notice improvements within 3 to 6 weeks, but full optimization often takes 3 to 6 months. Results vary and treatment is adjusted based on symptoms, lab trends, safety markers, and provider judgment.
Do you offer women's hormone replacement therapy?
Yes. We offer provider guided women's HRT for eligible Florida patients after medical history review, symptom review, labs, and clinical evaluation. Treatment may include customized compounded hormone creams when appropriate.
What is included in women's HRT pricing?
Women's HRT Package uses the same base pricing structure as men's TRT Package: a $50 nonrefundable provider visit collected at booking, an Estimated $110 startup lab panel when qualifying recent labs are not available, and a $125 Monthly Protocol Package after approval. The Monthly Protocol Package includes testosterone when prescribed. Additional prescribed medicines or hormones have an additional cost based on the rate charged by the pharmacy, including shipping. If qualifying recent labs dated within 6 months are accepted and no additional labs are needed, the startup lab cost may be reduced or removed.
What labs are reviewed before women's HRT?
The lab panel may review blood counts, metabolic health, testosterone markers, SHBG, estradiol, A1c, FSH and LH, lipids, progesterone, and thyroid markers. Labs are typically needed once a year. Recent outside labs may be accepted when all required markers are included and dated within 6 months.
Do you offer GLP-1 medically supervised weight loss?
Yes. We offer provider supervised medical weight management with semaglutide and tirzepatide protocols for eligible patients. Treatment requires clinical review, appropriate diagnostics, and ongoing monitoring.
Who qualifies for GLP-1 therapy?
Patients new to GLP-1 therapy must have a BMI of 27 or higher with a qualifying comorbidity, or a BMI of 30 or higher without a comorbidity. Patients already on a GLP-1 with a BMI below 27 may be evaluated for maintenance dosing if eligible.
What is included in GLP 1 pricing?
Each GLP 1 Monthly Protocol Package fee is a bundled price that includes provider care visits every 3 months, continuous medical supervision, shipping, sterile delivery supplies, prescription management, and the cost of the prescribed compounded medication vial. We do not charge a separate weight loss booking fee or hidden clinic fees.
Are startup labs required for GLP 1 care?
Yes. GLP 1 startup labs are $60 and cover required CBC with differential and platelets, comprehensive metabolic panel, hemoglobin A1c, standard lipid panel, thyroid panel, TSH, and insulin. Labs are updated yearly for ongoing monitoring. Recent outside labs may be accepted if all required markers are included and dated within 6 months.
How is GLP 1 care billed?
GLP 1 programs are pay as you go. Monthly Protocol Package fees are collected upfront before pharmacy orders are issued. Orders are sent only after clinician review, progress log review, and payment clearance.
Is there a monthly commitment for GLP 1 programs?
No. GLP 1 programs have no monthly commitment and no long term contract. Treatment availability, medication selection, and dosing are determined by clinical eligibility and provider judgment.
Do you offer peptide programs?
Yes, but peptides are available only as add-on services for current Balance Point Hormone Health patients. Availability, dosing, and medication selection depend on provider review, medical history, labs when needed, safety screening, and clinical appropriateness.
What peptide options do you offer?
Current patient peptide options include Ipamorelin / CJC-1295, Tesamorelin, Gonadorelin, Sermorelin, Tesamorelin / Ipamorelin, and GHK-Cu Acetate cream. Availability, dosing, and medication selection depend on provider review and clinical appropriateness.
Are peptide prices listed online?
No. Peptide pricing is reviewed with current patients after the appropriate option is identified. This keeps the discussion focused on clinical fit, dosing, safety, and patient-specific goals first.
Can I use recent outside labs?
Recent outside labs may be accepted when the required markers are included and the labs are dated within 6 months of your appointment.
Do you require contracts?
No. Balance Point Hormone Health does not use long term contracts. TRT and women's HRT are billed monthly after approval, GLP-1 care is pay as you go, and peptide add-ons are reviewed patient by patient.
